O PPGBV recebe bolsas de estudo para mestrado e doutorado pelas agências de fomento CAPES, CNPq, UENF e FAPERJ. As bolsas de estudo são administradas pela coordenação do PPGBV e pela Pró-Reitoria de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduação da UENF. As bolsas têm duração regular de 24 meses para mestrado e de 48 meses para doutorado.
O discente recebe bolsa de estudo por mérito, de acordo com sua classificação no processo seletivo para admissão ao PPGBV. No entanto, a concessão de bolsa está condicionada à disponibilidade da instituição e dos órgãos de fomento e às normas vigentes do Programa.
The PPGBV receives an annual budget from CAPES (PROAP-CAPES), which is primarily used to cover daily expenses for students participating in scientific events and field activities. Students and their advisors are encouraged to seek additional support and funding for research projects from external sources.

FAPERJ SCHOLARSHIP
The implementation of FAPERJ scholarships is conducted via the SisFaperj platform. To initiate this process, the student MUST:
1- Complete the SEI RJ External User Registration (Click here);
2- Register on SisFaperj (click here - click on "This is my first login"). Complete all information under the “My Registration” tab.
IMPORTANT: in "my registration", when filling in the link with UENF, always choose "Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense" (you MUST NOT choose "Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro")
After registration, the student must send the generated enrollment number to the coordination team via email at pgbv.secretaria@uenf.br .
IMPORTANT: Upon the conclusion of the FAPERJ scholarship, PPGBV student - UENF PPGBV-UENF students funded by FAPERJ must submit the “Scholarship Activity Report” within 60 days of defending their dissertation or thesis. This report must be submitted by the advisor through SisFaperjin PDF format (maximum size 10 MB), following the Instructions for submitting FAPERJ grant activity reports.
