PROJECT PREPARATION

The dissertation and/or thesis project must be prepared in accordance with the GUIDELINES FOR RESEARCH PROJECT PREPARATION IN PLANT BIOTECHNOLOGY.

PROJECT DEFENSE

1. a) A defesa do Projeto deve ser realizada até a última semana letiva do segundo semestre do curso após a matrícula;
2. b) A defesa será perante uma Banca Examinadora composta por:

• Mestrado: o orientador, como presidente, no mínimo 2 (dois) membros examinadores portadores do título de Doutor e 1 (um) membro suplente;
• Doutorado: o orientador, como presidente, no mínimo 3 (três) membros examinadores portadores do título de Doutor e 1 (um) membro suplente;

1. c) The advisor will appoint the members of the committee and act as its chair.

DEFENSE SCHEDULING:

1. a) The defense scheduling must be made com antecedência mínima de 20 dias antes da data prevista da defesa;
2. b) For scheduling, the advisor must email the Program Coordinating Committee with the project defense scheduling form , filled out with all necessary information;
3. c) The project must be delivered by the student to the members of the Examination Committee at least 7 days in advance of the scheduled defense date.
