The PPGBV offers study scholarships for master's and doctoral students through funding agencies such as CAPES, CNPq, UENF, and FAPERJ. These scholarships are managed by the PPGBV Coordination and the UENF Dean of Research and Graduate Studies. The regular duration of scholarships is 24 months for master's students and 48 months for doctoral students.
Scholarships are awarded based on merit, according to the candidate's ranking in the selection process for admission to the PPGBV. However, the granting of a scholarship depends on the availability of the institution and funding agencies and the current program regulations.
The PPGBV receives an annual budget from CAPES (PROAP-CAPES), which is primarily used to cover daily expenses for students participating in scientific events and field activities. Students and their advisors are encouraged to seek additional support and funding for research projects from external sources.
