This issue brings together the Proceedings of the 1st Regional Congress on Plant Biotechnology (ICRBV 2025), held between October 6 and 8, 2025, at the State University of Northern Rio de Janeiro Darcy Ribeiro (UENF), in Campos dos Goytacazes/RJ.
The aim of the event was to bring together students, researchers, professionals and representatives of the productive sector, creating a space for dialog, learning and collective construction around the theme: Scientific and innovative strategies for agriculture and the environment. The program included keynote speeches, round tables, short courses, poster presentations and activities to popularize science, fostering the exchange of knowledge, experiences and innovations aimed at sustainable solutions, emerging technologies and the integration of research, teaching and extension.
